Legend of The Broken Blade<\/em> follows a young prince who is determined to right a wrong he made in his youth. With the lives of many at stake, including that of his own brother, Korl must find confidence during a perilous time. That, and to a chest desired by nearly everyone in his world.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Author Aaditya Sengupta Dhar has put together a thrilling fantasy adventure featuring popular themes but with unique twists.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Korl was just a child when he happened upon a group of evil Akhuts stealing the Chest of Doom. The chest was said to give its owner universal powers, and his kingdom had it in its possession, but an evil group stole it and Korl did nothing to stop them. This small mistake changed his life forever, and rather than tell someone what happened, he let the secret eat at him for years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now as a young man of 15 he suffers from a lack of confidence and a frustrating stutter because of his guilt. But after hearing that an evil king is in search of the Chest of Doom, his father sends him, his brother, and a powerful Frosnastia named Niall to help find it once and for all.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, the journey isn\u2019t an easy one.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Not soon after they leave is Korl captured by a tribe of Garns, and his brother sacrifices his own life to save Korl. With his brother thought to be dead, Korl and Niall continue on their journey into the unknown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Niall is teaching Korl some serious magic to prepare him for some of the battles ahead. As she is thought to be one of the last Frosnastia alive, she is one of the most powerful beings in their world. But when they find out that there is yet another Frosnastia alive who has been converted to the dark side, they know for certain that the path ahead will contain more road blocks than anticipated.<\/p>\n

The land that Dhar creates is rich in imagination and full of interesting characters. The Frostnasias are definitely one of the most compelling of all the unique races in the world. With a mission to restore peace in the world, they used their magic and spells to spread good and protect innocents. But that didn\u2019t stop the Ankhuts from killing nearly all of them in the past.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Niall, who is thought to be the only Frosnastia left, plays a pivotal role in this story and is a saving grace in the book numerous times. With a motherly instinct and impressive magic skills, she is the perfect guide for Korl on his journey. Together they create a team that readers will love to root for.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Readers can expect many a battle in Legend of the Broken Blade<\/em> as the evil king of the Akhutsuses every resource available to him to capture the princes of Ofnast and intercept their journey to find the Chest of Doom.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Korl becomes a part of more than a handful of battles and witnesses countless deaths as he learns to fight with the power of his blade as well as the power of the spells and magic he learns from Niall. Dhar doesn\u2019t shy away from a gruesome battle scene as many beings throughout this journey meet their end in a bloody way. He ups the ante by not shying away from death when it comes to war, which will leave readers wondering whether or not some of their favorite characters will live to see another day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Legend of the Broken Blade<\/em> is a fantastical journey with some really important life lessons weaved throughout. As Korl grows as a man on his expedition, he is able to come to terms with his past and use the life lessons his elders taught him to chase after greatness.<\/p>\n
