Several years after the loss of his love, Luke finds himself making new acquaintances.

Meanwhile, Jade, a loving mother and stressed homemaker, is trapped in a neglectful marriage. When her ambitious and overly critical husband announces their temporary relocation to Bourton Bridge, she is less than thrilled, but the threat of losing her daughter urges her to make the change. With the arrogance of her husband looming over her, Jade sets off to a new country with the hope of a change for the better.

As luck would have it, Jade and Luke meet with the disapproving eye of Jade’s husband hovering around them. Luke clocks Jade’s situation immediately and extends a warm welcome. When tragedy strikes, Jade must make the best decision for her and her daughter, even if it means leaving Luke behind.

Fate might have their paths crossing once again, but will they be able to set aside their pasts to make way for a brighter future? You’re going to want to watch this relationship blossom.

Told in dual timelines, Mia Fox’s romantic Bourton Bridge will delight even the hardest of hearts. In Luke and Jade, it is easy to let reality slip away and fall in step with them as they embark on this new path. The story is sweet and touching, reminding us of the importance of second chances and being true to ourselves. Fox writes with precision and a genuinely human touch to make these characters feel so true to life.

This story engages from the get-go. The attention to detail—authentic to both the United States and England—pulls you in and keeps you there. The lively characters all have such rich backstories; even her secondary characters have irresistible charm. They grow and change, take on a life all their own. Add in the silliest of meet-cutes between Jade’s friend Willow and Luke’s mate Harry, and I was left in love.

Whether you’re a romance-all-the time gal like me or or simply looking to get out of a reading slump, Mia Fox’s Bourton Bridge is an excellent choice.
