Ginny Moon is exceptional. Everyone knows it\u2014her friends at school, teammates on the basketball team, and especially her new adoptive parents. They all love her, even if they don\u2019t quite understand her. They want her to feel like she belongs. What they don\u2019t know is that Ginny has no intention of belonging. She\u2019s found her birth-mother on Facebook, and is determined to get back to her, even if it means going back to a place that was extremely dangerous. Because Ginny left something behind and she\u2019s desperate to get it back, to make things right. But no one listens. No one understands. So Ginny takes matters into her own hands\u2026<\/p>\n

I had a hard time with some of the parental figures in Ginny\u2019s life. I won\u2019t go into detail so as not to spoil anything, but these parental figures were not people I viewed as having a positive impact on Ginny\u2019s already stressful and confusing upbringing. It just didn\u2019t sit well with me and I found myself frustrated more than a few times throughout the book. My main issue with this novel was the actual storyline itself which was so outrageous and absurd. Had it been a more believable and less dramatic storyline, I would have enjoyed the book so much more. For me, Ginny\u2019s character was done so well, that all the major craziness surrounding her was unnecessary and took away from my enjoyment.<\/p>\n

I rated this novel three stars. Overall, I enjoyed getting a glimpse into Ginny Moon\u2019s mind and thoughts. Ludwig does an outstanding job with the narrative. I just wish the storyline itself would have been different. I am definitely in the minority on this, so please read other reviews before making a decision on this book.<\/p>\n
