I gave into the hype and wanted to read a book before the movie. An easy summer read, romance, racing. I didn\u2019t expect much, just an easy book for the time by the lake, and I got what I expected, nothing more. These characters acted like they have rabies. Zero logical thought. \u00a0I wasn\u2019t really invested in Noah and Nick\u2019s relationship so I wasn\u2019t too worried when things seemed toxic or messy since they were at the end of the day, step-brother and step-sister, which for me, isn\u2019t a problem. I was expecting this book to end on a cliffhanger because there was a lot going on at the very end of the book, but it wrapped up quite quickly. I am intrigued to see what the rest of the trilogy has in store though.<\/p>\n

I rated this novel three stars because I did not DNF it. This book is full of stupidly immature angst and unnecessary drama. If you want to constantly ask \u201cwhy\u201d or \u201cwhat\u201d, and be mad at the characters for their flaws and poor judgment, you\u2019ll like this book. It\u2019s like a mash up of After, Beautiful Disaster and a 90s daytime soap opera.<\/p>\n
