This book was about as exciting as the cover\u2026. I found the book reads much the same way as she speaks\u2026meticulously\u2026carefully choosing her words. I found some of her stories to be fascinating, and others to be meh. I like that she talked about the fact that she and her husband do not always agree on things politically. I think that is normal in most marriages, (at least amongst the people I know). I love how protective she is of her family and personal life, but especially her son. The book is extremely repetitive. Every other page she reiterates how excited and honored she is to have been First Lady; and how hard she worked. I don\u2019t discount that. It just gets old hearing it so many times.<\/p>\n

Was also a little put off by her descriptions of clothing. She has, obviously, had a life in fashion and that is important to her. But actually reading about some of the extravagance of her life didn\u2019t exactly endear her to me. The chapter on her Be Best initiative was probably the best written of the entire book, and perhaps that is because here, finally, after so many pages we finally hear about something she is passionate about. It was interesting to learn more about the role of the First Lady and I had no idea Melania\u2019s actual accomplishments while in the White House.<\/p>\n

I rated this memoir three stars. In my opinion, the faults of this book lie mainly with the editor. No good editor would have allowed the repetitiveness. Whether it was entire sentences repeated, the same descriptive word repeated in the same paragraph, or the completely nonsensical chronological format of the book. The timeline was all over the place in spots and I found the word for word repetition of speeches that she or President Trump gave a cop-out. A good editor would have helped this book tremendously. Overall an interesting read. But don\u2019t bother buying it. Just check it out at your local library<\/p>\n
