After Raul faints at a prestigious ceremony, Raul\u2019s father, King Luis, orders him to take a break. As a workaholic, Raul despises this order but follows his father\u2019s commands to take \u201ctime to unplug\u201d by going camping.<\/p>\n

Erica, a pilot for the royal family, is asked to be Raul\u2019s outdoor guide. Having already signed a nondisclosure agreement and being adept at camping in the famous Montanas de los Fantasmas, the king and queen believe she\u2019s perfect for the job. Even though these mountains are a nesting site for the Calevan dragons and could bring possible danger, Erica agrees to the job, thinking, \u201cDid she have a choice? A royal request was really a command.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

On their camping trip, she sets her mind on keeping the prince safe and paying enough attention for him to have fun, but as the camping trip progresses, a connection grows, creating a push and pull of tension and desire.<\/p>\n

Disappointingly, their trip is cut short after Raul sprains his ankle while attempting to catch a glimpse of two rare upupa birds, yet Erica astutely observes that the hole he fell into wasn\u2019t random: it\u2019s an empty nest for a Calevan dragon that has gone missing.<\/p>\n

Back at the palace, these two make it a personal mission of finding out who stole the dragon and eggs. Even more, Erica is assigned again to giving companionship to Raul as his ankle heals. Over time, their attraction for each other deepens, entangling them in their own secret lust and desire\u2014ultimately testing limits that beg to be broken.<\/p>\n

With vivid descriptions about the Calevan animals, buildings, ceremonies, clothes, and even the aircrafts Erica flies, readers are immersed in a tropical world in which this adventurous romance blossoms. But the true success of this book lies in its character development and authenticity with the support of strong sexual tension.<\/p>\n

The heat in the novel will not disappoint readers who enjoy a good douse of spice, yet it doesn\u2019t overpower. For example, for the first hundred pages, readers get glimpses of their chemistry and attraction as Erica acts as guide and friend. But once that attraction is established, they are magnets, with the spice level amping up from here: \u201cAnd then his hands were on the outsides of her knees as his fingers slipped under the skirt\u2019s fabric. His palms glided up her thighs, taking the linen higher and higher\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As Raul and Erica become more romantically involved, respect and admiration become the foundation for their relationship: \u201c\u2018No need to pretend.\u2019 He gave her a heavy-lidded look. \u2018Do you know how hot you are flying a helicopter in that outfit?’\u201d<\/em><\/strong> With spice and true authenticity shining through, this is a relationship readers can root for.<\/p>\n

Written both as a standalone and as part of the Royal Caleva series, this romance will not disappoint: adventure, spice, and a push-pull of attraction combine to create an enthralling read.<\/p>\n
