When his procrastination lands him in a difficult class with his least favorite professor, Henry Turner knows he\u2019s going to have to work extra hard to survive his junior year of college. And now with his new title of captain for the hockey team, which he didn\u2019t even want, Henry absolutely cannot fail. Enter Halle Jacobs, a fellow junior who finds herself befriended by Henry when he accidentally crashes her book club. Halle may not have the romantic pursuits of her favorite fictional leads, but she\u2019s an academic superstar, and as soon as she hears about Henry\u2019s problems with his class reading material, she offers to help. Too bad being a private tutor isn\u2019t exactly ideal given her own studies, job, book club, and the novel she\u2019s trying to write. But new experiences are the key to beating her writer\u2019s block, and Henry\u2019s promising to be the one to give them to her. They just need to stick to their rule book. Oh, and not fall in love.<\/p>\n

This was\u2026 okay. The biggest downfall was how\u00a0BORING<\/strong>\u00a0this was. Oh my god. I was seventy percent through and the book should have finished then. I want you to be mindful of this; the book starts at the beginning of a fall semester. AND WE NEED TO GET THROUGH TO MARCH for Halle\u2019s character arc to be complete. Holy moly. SO unnecessarily long. And I love long books! I\u2019ve read a 700-page fantasy in one day. But please. It took me a week to read this! I\u00a0dreaded<\/em>\u00a0the fact that I had to pick this up and read it because I was so bored.<\/p>\n

3 flat stars for this one. I think my tolerance for this author and the way she writes has worn thin with me. At least the first two books had spice\u2026 this didn\u2019t give me anything!<\/p>\n
