Second-chance romances are usually hit or miss for me, but this one was an easy win. Wren and Ellis Byrd fell in love young, built a life together, and then fell apart\u2014and the way DeWitt explores what\u2019s left after that kind of history feels deeply earned. From the start, I was rooting for them. I felt like I was right there with them, watching them slowly grow back into each other as they revisited their past and confronted everything they never fully said.<\/p>\n

The characters were so vivid that I couldn\u2019t stop casting them in my head as if this were already a movie. Their chemistry, lingering longing, and emotional baggage all felt real, which made their journey that much more satisfying. The road trip element added a gorgeous sense of intimacy and momentum, and the balance of big feelings and steam kept me fully invested.<\/p>\n

Even though I haven\u2019t read the first book set in this world, Left of Forever<\/strong> stood strong on its own\u2014and honestly? It made me want<\/em> to go back and dive into those earlier characters\u2019 lives and stories next. If you love second-chance romances with depth, heat, and characters you can\u2019t help but cheer for, this one is absolutely worth the ride. <\/p>\n
