Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital\u2019s inpatient mental health unit. There are very specific reasons why she never wanted to do this required overnight rotation.\u00a0Reasons nobody can ever find out. And as the hours tick by, Amy grows increasingly convinced\u00a0something terrible is happening\u00a0within these tightly secured walls. When patients and staff start to vanish without a trace, it becomes clear that\u00a0everyone on the unit is in grave danger.<\/p>\n

Even though \u201cWard D\u201d is a genuine pageturner, I actually expected more from the ending. It was good but I was hoping for just a bit more. Especially after some events and situations that transpired involving some parts that weren\u2019t all that believable to me. Especially when it came to the main protagonist. Regardless, I genuinely enjoyed reading this as I always do when it comes to McFadden.<\/p>\n

I rated this novel four stars. The overall story is fantastic and as usual with McFadden, it\u2019s always a thriller that keeps you on your toes until a crazy plot twist or insane reveal happens. Don\u2019t worry, I won\u2019t ruin anything for you but this is an addictive story with a lot of tension, suspense, and some good twists that were decent for the most part.<\/p>\n
