I expected this to lean a little more immature because of the college setting, but the writing felt much more mature and emotionally grounded than I anticipated, which made it such a fun and engaging read for even an experienced romance reader.<\/p>\n<p>Anna and Travis have been sworn enemies for years, and their relationship completely changes after one accidental makeout in a dark garage. Travis being best friends with Anna\u2019s twin brother only adds to the tension because she is absolutely \u201coff-limits.\u201d The chemistry between these two was undeniable from the start, and once the sparks fly, the tension just keeps building. I genuinely could not stop reading.<\/p>\n<p>I loved watching their relationship evolve from hate to friendship to lust and eventually love. The emotional progression felt believable, and I ended up connecting with both characters more than I expected to. Travis especially had some surprisingly sweet moments underneath all the grumpiness, and I loved how protective and obsessed he became with Anna.<\/p>\n<p>The spicy scenes definitely delivered, and the banter and dirty talk kept things entertaining the entire time. Plus, the hockey scenes were such a bonus for me! As a newer hockey fan, I got ridiculously excited anytime the sport showed up on page.<\/p>\n<p>And the Grey\u2019s Anatomy references!! YES!!<\/p>\n<p>If you enjoy enemies-to-lovers romances with secret hookups, strong chemistry, protective heroes, and no third act breakup, this one is absolutely worth picking up.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to Smuthood and Sarah Smith for the opportunity to read this fun eARC.
