When people-pleasing Chloe learns that her birth mother has unexpectedly had another baby, she doesn\u2019t hesitate to become a next-of-kin guardian. But when she fails to pass Child Protective Services\u2019 financial evaluation, she is faced with a choice: see her baby sister placed in foster care or participate in CPS\u2019s new initiative, where two prospective guardians join households to qualify.
\nEnter Warren, a surly mechanic\u2019s apprentice attempting to get custody of his deaf fifteen-year-old brother. From the moment Warren drives up thirty minutes late, blasting music out of his car, Chloe is convinced that this is a very bad idea. The two immediately clash but eventually agree to live together for the sake of their younger siblings.
\nAs their lives intertwine, and Chloe adjusts to caring for her newborn sister, she begins to see a new, softer side of Warren. In fact, they\u2019re far more similar than she could have imagined. What started as forced begins to feel natural\u2014and far less lonely. Chemistry soon intensifies beyond what either of them can stand, but is their mutual attraction worth risking everything they\u2019ve fought for?<\/p>\n

This book is a perfect blend of cuteness, fluff and heartwarming moments. The found family in this was so beautifully done and it hits right in the chest because each and every character was alone before they found the unconditional love. The story started off with Chloe and Warren thrown together in living situation where it benefits them both. They have their siblings with them and they didn\u2019t wanted to just throw them into foster mess so they decided to live and support each other. I loved the way they both cared for their siblings and loved them like their own kids. I loved the way healing and trauma was represented and how they both helped each other in the process of finding love and home.<\/p>\n

The ending\u00a0was perfect with no third-act breakup over some overused misscommunication trope. They had an argument but they resolved it in their own mature ways! I also loved that cutest and the most wholesome epilogue and I also read bonus epilogue which only made me crave more of Warren\u2019s pov! I just want more of Chloe and Warren and their cute little family because it was not enough.<\/p>\n

Four stars for this one!<\/p>\n
