I think friends to lovers is such a great trope. If done correctly. This is one of the better cases. I really liked how the emotional cheating was such a massive segment of this book because I liked their banter and they had really good chemistry. If it weren\u2019t for the over dramatic and theatrical conclusion, this could\u2019ve been rated higher.<\/p>\n

Four stars for this novel. To be honest with you, the premise and the concept is nothing new\u2014nothing crazy\u2014so it does come down to individual characters and character traits. I can\u2019t really place my finger on why this worked so much better than some traditional romances with this traditional plot, but it did. Even though summer was just starting, I could feel myself being transported to a beach\/lake house while reading this book. She is great at creating an immersive atmosphere and transporting readers into a specific time and place. It really felt like i was a bug on the wall when reading this book.<\/p>\n
