Everything goes haywire. An exhausted Mags wishes for help, and a gaggle of friends arrive to put the tech to good use. MacGregor riffs cleverly on the nursery rhyme; her verse scans (and sings!) well, while Ogawa\u2019s illustrations carry the story with details that aren\u2019t included in the text. Mags loses control of the jetpack and sprays water everywhere as a flock of frightened fowl squawk; unruly drones send the animals fleeing; the mechanical octopus pauses to eat pizza. Readers will enjoy spotting funny details, like the cow flying around with the jetpack. Those familiar with the source material will be particularly charmed.
