Wren Beaumont is a model student. Kind, clever and beautiful, she is loved by everyone at Lancaster Prep. Everyone but brooding campus bad boy Crew Lancaster. Son of the family who own the school, Crew’s life seems easy – but with an overbearing father and high expectations, it’s anything but. Which is why he has no time for people like Wren. But when their lives unexpectedly collide, Wren discovers there’s more to life than good grades – and Crew finally understands what it’s like to care about someone other than himself . . .

I just finished reading Things I Wanted to Say right before this, so I was expecting something familiar, but this book was actually really cute. I’m not gonna say it is not spicy because it definitely is, but it has a softer feeling to it. I really liked how kind Crew was as a person, even if his persona was always rude or mean. He never came off as cruel or was unkind to Wren. Maybe he was a little grumpy, but you could always tell he meant well. I really liked that there was this softer side to him that proved not all Lancaster’s are mean people. He was always gentle and understanding with Wren and what she was open to. It was refreshing. I also really enjoyed Wren’s character and how she was so open and loving. Sure, she went through some things, but she was never a jaded person. She was always kind, and I felt like she brought out the best in people. I loved her character growth and how she went from a judgmental rule follower to someone who truly found herself and understood the rights and wrongs in her life.

I rated this novel four stars. Their relationship together was really cute and all together… kind of wholesome. He was never bad to her, and they were always honest with each other. NO MISCOMUNICATION! Also…love all the trust and compassion. The growth of both main characters is phenomenal and so real. I fell in love with Crew but equally loved how Wren grew up.
