I have this issue where when I start something, I need to finish it. That is how I feel with this series. I did not care for the first one, so I don’t know why I kept moving forward with this second book. It wasn’t worse, but it wasn’t better either. These characters are just so toxic and annoyingly childish. I can’t help but roll my eyes. Giving me hard Tessa and Harden vibes, which I do not mean as a compliment.
Solid three stars on this one from me. The story is just so repetitive and toxic. It runs in cycle. Basically, they fight, they make up. They fight again, have more make up sex with lots of declaration of love thrown in. Lather, rinse, repeat. The unfortune thing being that I will most likely finish up the series though.
