Fall I Want kicks off Lyra Parish’s Cozy Creek series with a small-town, fake-dating romance full of cozy autumn vibes, playful banter, and a billionaire who falls first—and hardest.

Autumn meets Zane Alexander, a billionaire looking to escape his heartbreak in the charming town of Cozy Creek. Their first impressions of one another aren’t great, but when circumstances push them together, Zane ends up stepping in as her “fake boyfriend” to protect her from an ex. What starts as pretending quickly turns into something real, with sparks flying as fall festivities (and plenty of chemistry) swirl around them. But as exes creep back into their lives, Autumn and Zane have to decide what’s real and what’s worth fighting for.

This book delivers on exactly what it promises: a cozy, pumpkin-spice-latte kind of romance with a touch of magical realism. Cozy Creek comes alive with fall charm—haunted houses, crisp leaves, and playful seasonal fun that make the backdrop feel almost like its own character. It’s the kind of setting you want to curl up in with a blanket while reading.

Autumn and Zane have great flirty chemistry, and their progression from reluctant acquaintances to friends to something deeper felt fun and engaging. Zane is all-in from the start, and watching him try to win Autumn over was charming. One of the best parts was that their romance didn’t fall into the overused “third-act breakup” trope, which made the story feel refreshing in its simplicity.

I really enjoyed this book for what it is: a fun, escapist read with cozy fall vibes. While a few moments felt a bit forced or unbelievable, I found it easy to set those aside and just sink into the flirty romance and seasonal charm. It’s not a deep, emotionally heavy romance, but that’s the beauty of it—it’s light, spicy, and perfect if you’re looking for a comforting, feel-good story.

This is the first book in a series, and while I don’t feel an urgent need to continue right away, I could definitely see myself picking up the next Cozy Creek book when I’m in the mood for more.

If you’re craving a cozy, slightly magical small-town romance with just the right mix of spice and sweetness, Fall I Want is a delightful pick. Think crisp leaves, flirty banter, and a love story that doesn’t take itself too seriously—an easy escape into autumn charm.
