This is the final installment of the Powerless series, as well as a novella on a side character. I am a HUGE fan of the Powerless series, but this one didn’t do it for me. Okay—so I didn’t hate this, but I had high hopes for this book and it’s just so…what?! It’s so hard to even describe this book, I think that maybe I just didn’t understand it? It hurts me to write this but I was disappointed, Lauren honestly let me down. I knew I should have been prepared about what the book would be about, but it still didn’t hit like her other books. I wanted that gut wrenching pain like the way Powerful delivered.
I have to give this novel three stars. Overall, not her best book and not a must read but if you want to read it, then go for it. The whole novella didn’t really feel like it had a point, and it sort of felt repetitive, especially since it took place the same time as Fearless. It wasn’t all bad but definitely could have been better. The ending hinted at more to come, but also left me confused…
