This was my first book by Rebecca Zanetti, and now I’m wondering why it took me so long to pick up one of her books! Shadow of Fall had me hooked from the premise, and now I’m ready to dig into her backlist!
Damian Osprey is a former CIA operative who has returned to Alaska to work as head of security at a secret weather research facility. His wife, Stella, is still working for the CIA, and their relationship is anything but ordinary. When Stella shows up in Alaska, a dead body turns up on the doorstep of the research facility, and there’s a serial killer on the loose, things get complicated quickly. Add in plenty of secrets and a whole lot of danger, and there’s never a dull moment!
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Damian and Stella. Their complicated history made their relationship fun to read, and I loved seeing how they navigated their feelings while trying to figure out who they could trust. But what really has me wanting more is the family dynamic between Damian and his brothers. I have a feeling these Osprey brothers are going to keep me coming back!
This was a fast-paced romantic suspense with quite a cast of characters, plenty of twists, and just the right amount of romance mixed in with the mystery. I’m definitely looking forward to spending more time in Knife’s Edge, Alaska!
Thank you to the author for the ARC!
