The story follows two couples who slowly become friends after Perry and Ingrid move in next door to Lorna and Dan. One of the husbands isn’t exactly thrilled about this new friendship, but his wife is drawn to the fun and excitement the other couple brings into their lives. Before long, the four are spending more and more time together, and what starts as a seemingly innocent friendship turns into something much more complicated.
And let me tell you, these people have SECRETS! I had so much fun uncovering all the lies and trying to piece together what was really going on. There were definitely a few twists I didn’t see coming!
I was lucky enough to listen to an audio ARC, and the narration was really well done. This was one of those audiobooks I just wanted to keep listening to because I NEEDED all the facts! Every time another piece of the puzzle fell into place, I had more questions.
But can we PLEASE talk about that ending?! Because I NEED someone to discuss it with! I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Actually, I think it made me mad! Just when you think justice has been served…has it really?!
If you enjoy domestic thrillers filled with secrets, lies, messy relationships, and twists that keep you guessing, this is definitely one to pick up. And when you finish it, come find me because we need to TALK!
