Amy Daws is one of my favorite romance authors, so of course I had to continue this series! And with a fun premise like this one, plus enemies-to-lovers (my favorite romance trope!), I was pretty sure I was going to enjoy it!
Lynsey Jones is working on her thesis in a hospital cafeteria when she crosses paths with the ridiculously grumpy Dr. Josh Richardson, aka Dr. Dick. Their hilarious back-and-forth and undeniable chemistry somehow lead to a one-night stand. Fast forward three months, and Lynsey ends up in the ER, where none other than Dr. Dick discovers she’s pregnant…with his baby! Talk about awkward!
From an unexpected pregnancy to suddenly living together, these two have a lot to figure out. I loved their witty banter, Lynsey’s quirky and lovable personality, and Josh’s over-the-top grumpiness. Their chemistry was fantastic, even when they were driving each other crazy!
While One Moment Please has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and steamy scenes, it also tackles some surprisingly heavy and heartbreaking topics. There’s definitely more to this story than your typical rom-com!
Overall, this was another fun read from Amy Daws with a good mix of humor, romance, and emotion. A solid 4 stars from me!
